ECG recognised for innovation, strategy & growth at the Pacific Business Trust Awards

Every 2 years, the Pacific Business Trust (PBT) hosts the PBT Awards which recognises Pacific entrepreneurs that are leading in the business world through: innovation, excellence and social endeavours for the community.


This years PBT Awards held on the 11 November 2022 showcased and celebrated the achievement of Pacific People in business like no other year. With COVID-19 setting a challenging 2 year backdrop - the awards turned the spotlight onto those businesses that through resilience, creativity and innovation adapted to the challenge and not only survived but thrived.


The PBT Awards is a time for Pacific businesses to not only be recognised for their efforts in business but to reconnect with each other as Pacific business aiga.


Ten awards were presented to Pacific businesses at the gala extravaganza with ECG receiving its nomination as a finalist for the 'Mataka Vou Award for Pacific Business Enterprise' from over 400 entries.

Sponsored by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, 'Mataka Vou' (Fijian for 'new dawn) is an Award given to a business that demonstrates innovation, strategic thinking and has a track record of sustainable growth.


ECG's 2021-2022 saw a myriad of growth through challenges and opportunities that COVID-19 presented. As specialists in the Pacific economy, ECG canvassed a variety of projects through this challenging time that spanned across: Business Development and Training, Research and Feasibility, Governance and Diversity and most notably Media and Communications. Being recognised as a finalist for this Award category was an encouragement and opportunity for the team to reflect on the hard-work and success to date.


The ECG team are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the PBT Award's Gala, and enjoyed the inspiring stories shared by businesses on the night.
