New faces set to make an impact with ECG



ECG has started 2023 with new additions to their team, which is a reflection of their continued growth and investment into upcoming Pacific talent.


Galumalemana Latafale Leavasa is the new Project Lead and Administrator. She has a wide portfolio of work to date including family law, international policy, project management and community work. Galumalemana is an admitted barrister and solicitor, having completed her double degree in Law and Music at the University of Otago. She is an established beauty queen having won Miss Samoa, Miss Pacific Islands (formerly Miss South Pacific) and represented Samoa at the Miss World pageant. Galumalemana is also an athlete, having represented Samoa at the world touch tournament in Sydney.


Daniel Maine joins as a Learning and Development Consultant. Daniel brings a wealth of experience in the learning and development space having worked across multiple sectors including aviation, hospitality, education and tourism. He has led professional development initiatives for large corporates such as Air New Zealand, Qantas and the Cordis Hotel Group. He is passionate about education and designing dynamic content for diverse learners. Daniel is a proud Tahitian, Cook Islander and is fluent in Cook Islands Māori ,Tahitian and French.


Vaiola Tauti is the new Media and Communications Lead. She has previously worked with Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ, a non-profit organisation that focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. In her young career, Vaiola has already amassed an impressive haul of accolades including being one of the YWCA Y25 Wāhine Toa in 2021, is the first UN Youth NZ Regional President of Pacific descent and is the Sunpix Awards 2022 recipient of the Pacific Emerging Leadership Award.
