ECG is thrilled to announce the release of its beloved gospel series, Soul Sessions on Whakaata Māori. Back by popular demand, this show is set to captivate audiences once again with the release of Season 3.
Originally premiering in 2022, Soul Sessions quickly became a fan favourite with over 30 episodes to date. Now, Whakaata Māori is giving both longtime fans and new audiences alike the chance to experience again on linear TV.
Set to premiere on the 21st of April, the season promises to deliver new music and storytelling that made it a cultural phenomenon. Whether reliving favourite moments or discovering the series for the first time, audiences can look forward to a journey filled with both laughter and tears. Featuring established artists Maisey Rika, Adeaze and MzJ (Julie Ta’ale), upcoming artists Jordyn with a Why, A.R.T., Te Rautini and Aaron Hardy as well as a gospel ‘Matariki’ special.
Building onto the Soul Sessions brand, ECG is gearing up for the release of an exciting cultural celebration ‘Soul Sessions Lotu Tamaiti’ focused on our Pacific children and the talents they contribute within their families through dance and creative expression of faith set to release in May.
